« I feel like living and studying in Nantes has been great because I have been forced to communicate or try to communicate in French and that was one of my goals when coming from the US »

« How I feel in Nantes …
Before I came here, Nantes was an unknown city for me and I was not sure whether it has anything to offer. After the first week here, I decided: J’aime Nantes. This city has the perfect size for a student city. Wherever you walk you meet someone you know and you never have a long way home. It took me only a few days to find orientation in Nantes and the city center. In comparison to other cities I visited it’s very easy to find your way: only three tram lines and definitely all roads lead to Commerce. One thing I also really like in Nantes is the Bras de la Madeleine. A river always gives a city a great atmosphere of nature. People in Nantes are always friendly and to me it seems like they’re even friendlier when I try to say some words in French instead of English.
At least after the orientation days I noticed: Audenica loves its international students. You can tell that they really want to make our Erasmus great. Everything is perfectly organized because there are so many foreign students from all over the world, and if there are any issues, IC Team or Erasmus coordinators are answering all questions very quickly. Most professors at Audencia give very good and diversified lessons. Almost all courses include group works and presentation. On the one hand it’s sometimes a lot of work for students but the learning outcomes may be much better and in some classes work exercises like those replace the final exam. What else makes Audencia sympathetic: lunch in the university restaurant, modern class rooms, the library as a perfect place to work and study and the incredible offer of so many different sport courses. »
